A 2.2 degree Celsius increase in temperature could reduce global GDP levels by up to 20% until 2050 [1]. Warming of up to 5 degree Celsius could lead to full economic annihilation and mass extinction. Conversely, policymakers can choose to add over $26tr to growth by 2030 [2]. The key is rapid decarbonisation. And the choice is really no choice at all.
