Group transparency report 2023/2024
This is our first year reporting as, ‘Forvis Mazars’, a significant development in the history of our firm. Commenting on this achievement, our Group Chairman, Herve Helias said: “The steps we have taken over the past year have been unprecedented. We have become a truly global player, with a unique platform of two firms. We have the size, consistency and service quality to continue to move forward and grow, offering clients an unparalleled experience, increased choice in a concentrated but vital market, and teams that can truly work across borders for international organisations.”
Our development comes at a time where agility in the face of global instability is more crucial than ever, with geopolitical risks adding uncertainty to the business environment. Yet, we expect the global economy to remain strong and are convinced our organisation is strategically positioned to capitalise on this growth and is well equipped to provide our clients with the services they need to confidently reach their ambitions.
Quality has remained a core pillar of our four-year One24 strategy, which draws to a close at the end of 2024. During the last four years we were able to deliver a number of key initiatives in quality and risk management (Q&RM) including: ensuring a strong quality and risk focus in the creation of our new network; an increased focus on risk appetite alignment across the Group; and the delivery of enhancements to our onboarding processes and conflict checking tool, WeCheck.
Further, we continued to refine our monitoring programme, which was overhauled in 2022/2023, with increased focus on use of live data and to align with our new approach to testing and evaluating our system of quality management under the International Standard on Quality Management 1 (ISQM1) and leverage the experiences of the previous year to the full effect.
While the One24 strategy may be coming to a close, our focus and dedication to our quality journey will continue. By reinforcing our Q&RM governance, leadership and resourcing at both the Group and regional levels, we have sufficiently prepared our firm to further develop the strong Q&RM foundations we’ve built in the near and long term. Reflecting on our successes and preparing for what’s next, Jo Connolly, our Group Chief Quality & Risk Officer shared: “We look ahead with much excitement and with renewed energy to focus on doing all we can to make our new, unique top 10 global network a success – one with a culture we’re proud of, with quality at the core, and a risk-focused mindset.”
We are certain that our insights and services empower organisations to operate with confidence, make well-informed decisions, and communicate with greater transparency to stakeholders. This, in turn, strengthens the crucial bond between businesses and society, establishing a strong basis for mutual trust.
