Partnering once again with the Africa CEO Forum, this year Mazars will bring its auditing expertise to the selection process of the award’s nominees and winners. The awards will celebrate the best of African business and the outstanding achievements of firms and individuals in five categories:

• African Champion of the year

The African Champion award recognises the African company that has contributed most to regional economic integration through its presence in Africa, its regional expansion strategy and implementation thereof.

• CEO of the year

The CEO of the Year award recognises the exceptional achievements of the CEO of an African company. Over the course of the past year, this person has stood out among their peers as a result of their extraordinary leadership in growing their company’s activities and through a major accomplishment.

• Disruptor of the year

The Disrupter of the Year award will be attributed to the leader of a young company (founded less than ten years ago). This company stands out for its significant growth potential in Africa and the disruptive nature of its activities, which move away from the widely employed strategies of large groups by offering innovative solutions. Priority will be given to initiatives in the field of new technologies related to finance, health, agriculture or Energy. 

• Gender Leader of the year

The Gender Leader award recognises the company that has demonstrated an unparalleled commitment to encouraging female leadership, especially within its executive bodies.

• International Company of the year

The International Company of the Year award is attributed to the international company that has had the most remarkable economic and social impact on the African continent over the past year.

Winners will be announced during the Africa CEO Forum awards gala ceremony on 26 March 2019 at the Kigali Convention Center in Rwanda.
