Mazars, proud gold partner of the Global Goals Yearbook
This year’s 2019 edition, published by the macondo foundation, “Aligning Profit with Purpose” looks at a crucial question: how do companies find an inspiring and future-oriented corporate purpose, and how can it be aligned in such a way that it brings profitable growth and social responsibility in concert?
As a contribution to the Yearbook, our sustainability experts interviewed 15 multinational companies headquartered in Germany to understand the strategic importance of sustainability to their organisations and the challenges they face when sustainability issues and risk management collide. The key finding from these interviews is that the systematic integration of sustainability issues into risk management is only at the beginning of its journey. Most companies surveyed are coming up against obstacles before achieving anything near effective integration. As gold partners, Mazars’ sustainability experts will also be attending the Global Goals Forum, which will be held in Berlin on 10 October 2019. The Global Goals Forum is an annual flagship opportunity to strengthen the public-private dialogue to contribute to the success of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which gathers 400 board members, managing directors, and decision-makers from business, politics, and civil society.
The host of the Global Goals Forum is the macondo foundation – a charitable and impartial nonprofit organisation committed to no other interests than the promotion of the UN Global Goals.
