Mazars awarded Best Business Collaboration at FSACCI Award
Mazars was honored to receive the prestigious Best Business collaboration France-South Africa award.
Honored guests included His Excellency the Ambassador of France to South Africa, Christophe Farnaud, the Mayor of Johannesburg Herman Mashaba, the French Consul-General Ms. Sonia Dona-Perez, as well as high-level executives of the French-South African business Community.
The FSACCI Gala Award highlights French Businesses in South Africa and encourages common French and South African entrepreneurial spirit and development. More importantly, the “Best business collaboration” category is focused on awarding a member of the FSACCI who it feels has developed especially strong links with either France or South Africa.
Two years after establishing a successful French Desk in Johannesburg, in June 2017 Mazars South Africa launched a dedicated French Desk at our Cape Town offices, the purpose of which is to support French entrepreneurs who want to set up businesses in the vibrant Mother City.
In 2018, Mazars global decided to create a French Desk Hub aiming to connect the French experts in the different countries to share experience and collaborate. In the above regard, one of Mazars successful initiatives was to arrange a seminar in Paris entitled “Invest in South Africa’’ in November 2017 supported by the French and South African Governments.
“Invest in South Africa” was a unique event dedicated to fostering collaboration between the two countries, promoting the business opportunities of one of the world’s most diverse emerging markets to high-level executives of large French companies.
Alongside ongoing important projects like the above, the French Desk continues to promote and foster close links between France and South Africa on a daily basis. We work closely with French businesses and institutions such as the FSACCI, Business France, BPI France, the French Embassy and Consulates in South Africa. Moreover, Mazars is one of the main support partners of the French community in South Africa including organizations such as Le Lycee Francais du Cap, L’ Alliance Francaise du Cap et de Johannesburg, La French Tech, le Cap40, Le Clap, L’Institut Francais d’Afrique du Sud and many more.
Our aim is to remain a beacon of support for the French Community in South Africa.
