Luciano Mari Actuarial Services Partner

Luciano graduated in Statistical and Actuarial Sciences at the "La Sapienza" University of Rome. He is enrolled in the register of Actuaries and is part of the Life Commission at the National Order of Actuaries.

Luciano has 28 years of experience in the insurance sector, initially gained in leading Insurance Companies (AXA, Allianz) and completed in the consulting field (Parametrica Network, Numerica Risk, PwC). Follows the audit support activities in line with the main valuation frameworks (Statutory, US Gaap, Solvency 2 and IFRS / IAS) and consultancy in the actuarial and financial fields.

From the 1st June 2022 he joined the Mazars team as a Local Partner.

Expertise:

Luciano works mainly with life and non-life insurance companies. He held the role of Life Actuary for 15 years and Actuarial Function in the non-life area for 7 years for leading international insurance companies.

In his professional career he has followed M&A processes, implementation of ALM (Asset Liability Management), preparation of KID (insurance products, derivatives and non-plain vanilla bonds), portfolio migration, profitability analysis of insurance products, life product pricing, implementations of assets and liabilities in the Prophet actuarial platform, complex business transformation projects deriving from the adoption of new accounting standards in the insurance sector, valuations of derivatives and financial instruments in the IFRS9 sphere.

He has acquired specific skills in the OIC and IFRS areas applied to consolidated financial statements and preparation of reporting packages.
