Claire Abrahamse Partner - Quality & Risk Management
Experience
Claire is a Partner within our Quality & Risk Management department and has been working at Forvis Mazars since 2016. She has worked in the medium sized audit firm space for the last sixteen years. Her roles have always been rooted in the quality management either in training, monitoring and auditing listed entities or large owner management entities.
Claire also worked for Forvis Mazars Group in our Paris office for six months as a key user for our new audit software. She was the Project manager for designing and implementing the new standard of International Standard of Quality Management in Forvis Mazars South Africa and was part of the Forvis Mazars Group ISQM working team that developed the firms’ objectives, risks and controls as well as the development of a tool for ISQM and Guidance documents for the firm.
Her pillar of accountability in the QRM department deals with the Independence, Ethics and Risk management and she is also in charge of the Engagament Performance procedures such as policies and process for Quality and Engagament Quality Control.
Claire has a keen interest in innovation and has developed a few processes and applications to ensure that compliance is more effective at Forvis Mazars in South Africa.
She holds the title of the Country Acceptance Officer and the Country Risk Officer.
She holds a BCom degree (Financial Accounting) from the University of Cape Town, and Honours in Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from UKZN.
